FOOTBALL SEASON IS HERE!!
TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL SEASON
(1) Arrive 1 hour before game time to ensure proper stretching, warm-up and preparation for each game.
(2) Please make sure hair is tied back, no jewelry is to be worn at anytime while cheering - one small post in the ear is acceptable.
(3) Please make sure to have on site with you a cooler with plenty of water, chapstick and sunscreen.
(4) Assignments for parent participation to provide snacks on game day should be as follows: sliced oranges, water/power drink- and a healthy snack.
(5) When cheering multiple games - be sure to schedule water breaks and snack breaks every 45 minutes- cheerleaders are permitted to have a small water bottle in their cheer lines - but absolutly NO FOOD is to be consumed while cheering - food consumption is only permitted during Halftimes.
TIPS FOR CHEER PARENTS
QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS: Please contact the coach directly by email or text and set up a timeto discuss issues. If it can't be resolved over the phone/computer, please remember that it is NEVER appropriate to confront anyone in front of your children. If you have a concern regarding the coach and it can't be handled directly, please donot hesitate to call Tena Preuss at 201-3453.
PICK UP TIMES- It is imperative that your cheerleader is picked up ON TIME. The MCJCA, it's coaches or anyone acting on their behalf is NOT liable for your child's safety once practice/games have ended OR DURING LONG LUNCH BREAKS ON GAME DAYS. So please be prompt.
CLEAN UP - Please be polite by picking up your water bottles/ trash/clothes in your area after all practices and games. If you choose to leave items they will simply be thrown away.
CLOSED PRACTICES - Due to the problem with parents disrupting practices, please refrain from interferring with practices by sitting/visiting in the area. You may watch from a far.
PRACTICE NOURISHMENT - Always have a water bottle filled with water/gatorade for practice, NO SODA/POP! If the practices are longer than a hour and a half please make sure to have a snack - SUGGESTION- piece of fruit, crackers & peanut butter, granola bars.
AND AS ALWAYS BE SUPPORTIVE OF YOUR CHEERLEADERS, THEIR COACHES AND FOOTBALL TEAMS, WE THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR BEING GREAT ROLE MODELS FOR YOUR CHILDREN!
