OUR STAFF

The talent, energy and experience of our staff creates enthusiasm and success in all of our programs We have the only nationally certified, experienced staff on the Western Slope, and our director is a national awards winning choreographer. All of our instructors are required to maintain the AACCA Certification (American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors)CSCA (Colorado Spirit Coaches Association) & USASF (United States All Star Federation) credentials . It is also required that our staff attend selected training sessions conducted nationally and in house so that we can provide our students consistent and up-to-date training techniques. We are the only all star studio/gym in the valley with the level of success and experience needed to give each student a great athletic experience. Our main goal is to develop great athletes by focusing on character, instilling values, selflessness, self confidence, and hardwork in a safe environment. We believe in teaching safety, progressions and proper technique.

Preuss director@expressallstars.com PROGRAM DIRECTOR & CHOREOGRAPHER HEAD COACH: Spirit Express All Star Dance Team Cheer Express Senior All Star Cheer Team Pony Express Youth All Star Dance 2009 Best Choreography Award Jamfest National Championships, 2009 Teams featured in All Star Cheer Magazine under her direction, 2008 Recipient of Best Overall Cheer Choreography at the Americheer International Championships. 2007 Recipient of the American National Championships Dance Choreographers Award, 2006 Recipient of the NDA National Championship Choreographers Award, and the 2006 Ameridance International Championships National Choreographers Award. 2005 recipient of the UPA Top Ten Coaches of the Year, recognized by Cheerleader Magazine. Former Head Coach of the then nationally ranked Mesa State College Cheerleaders, where she coached for 8 years. Former NCA Instructor, director and All American. Former executive board member for the National Spirit Advisory Board with NCA/UCA Varsity Spirit Brands. Current executive board member of the Colorado Spirit Coaches Association. Lead Dance Advisory & Legality Judge for the Colorado High School Activities Association. Founder and President of the Mesa County Jr. Cheer Association. USASF National Certification to Level 7 in Partner Stunts, Group Stunts, Tosses and Tumbling. National Certified Judge & Coach with CHSAA, CSCA, NCA, NDA, UCA, UDA, AACCA, UPA, MA, USA and the USASF. Recipient of countless national choreographer awards. She has judged all across the country, as well as speaking at numerous conferences. Under her direction and choreography the Express All Stars have won over 170 National Championship titles. She has been noted as one of the top coaches in the country for All Star Dance.

	Frank E. Preuss director@expressallstars.com HEAD TUMBLING INSTRUCTOR Frank has been with the Express All Star program since its conception and has been marrried to the program director for 32 years. He is a former instructor for Grand Junction Gymnastics and Flairs. Competitive gymnast for many years. State Champion Gymnast at Milliken High School in Long Beach, California, and College National Champion gymnast for LBCC

	Carol Freeman, CPA carolannfree@msn.com TEAM ACCOUNTANT As part of our administrative staff, Carol provides her expertise to our organization by handling the team's fundraising accounts.

	Jeff Colton Jeff@expressallstars.com WEBMASTER/COMPETITION COORDINATOR As a part of our administrative staff, Jeff "The Juiceman" Colton is our Webmaster and our Competition Coordinator. Jeff has been with the Express All Star Family for 9 years and is actively involved on many different levels. He brings to our program a degree of professionalism with a "comedy kick" , and is very informative in regards to competition correspondence and website postings.

	Scott Preuss fluidmotion@expressallstars.com INSTRUCTOR - Hip-hop and Tumbling Former member of "The Boys" competitive hip-hop team, who finished 2nd at the Contest of Champions National Championships in 2002. Assistant choreographer in hip-hip. which lead to the Spirit Express Senior Team winning their first Hip-Hop national Championship in 2008. Scott has had the opportunity to receive training from some of the best hip-hop choreographers in the country, Dave Scott (Step up Movies), Shane Sparks (America's Best Dance Crew) and Laurie Ann Gibson (MTV's Making the Band) to name a few. Scott brings a little "flava" to his hip-hop choreography.
